Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas this year.  Even though times are very tight financially.  We really enjoyed having Daddy off of work early on Christmas Eve through Christmas day.  Daddy read his annual "Twas the Night Before Christmas" before bed Christmas Eve.  The boys listened quietly and then were off to bed.
The boys actually let us sleep until 6:30 on Christmas morning.  Everyone enjoyed opening gifts together while listening to Christmas music.  Ben got his much wanted Tamagotchi and a new bicycle.  Hyrum got a load of Batman toys and a new bicycle.  Adam got a toy laptop and Mr. Potato Head.  Levi got Elmo Live! and an Elmo phone that says his name.  Angela got a baby gym and some new outfits.  Then we enjoyed a yummy breakfast of stuffed french toast and spent the day together playing with all our new toys.
The missionaries joined us for dinner Christmas evening.  We fed the boys earlier because there was no way that we could fit 4 kids and 4 adults around our small kitchen table.  The Elders enjoyed Chicken Cordon Bleu followed by Cranberry Swirl Cheesecake.  Lets just say that they did not leave here hungry.
All in all, our Christmas was very blessed!

School's Out for Christmas!

The boys are enjoying having no school for 2 weeks.  Even though Adam cried on the last day of school before the break.  It has been a chore trying to keep everyone occupied.  We spent Monday at the McGee's house playing with Melanie's kids and celebrating her son, Billy's 7th birthday.  Ben, Hyrum and Adam have been enjoying being able to watch TV.  They don't get to watch it much on school days.  Levi, Angela and I have enjoyed not having to get up as early since we don't have to be at the school at 8AM.  We just wish that Daddy got to stay home with us too.
